Kodak E100VS film.
All 36 frames were taken on the boat on Milford Sound, on the way back in from the Tasman Sea turnaround. Donn is the guy in the yellow jacket in frame 3. Frames 10 through 21 are all of some waterfall that was pouring off one of the walls; I just kept snapping away until we finally passed it. I think my favorite shot is 14. Frame 18 shows it the most full-on.
Frame 23 has some amazing color. This scan is as close as I could get to what is on the slide, which is if anything even a slightly more electric blue. The blue tone in most of these pictures is due to both the indirect blue light (see also the original kea slide scan for instance, versus the color-corrected one) and the blue of the water. In this case, though, "correcting" the blue away would be horribly wrong!
Frames 24 through 28 were attempts to photograph some dolphins that came up to swim near the boat. They are the most obvious in 25, although 24 is probably a better photo.
Frame 32 is probably a shot of the much-photographed Mitre Peak, from the back instead of the front, but I am not sure. Frames 30, 31, and 33 through 36 are yet another waterfall. The overexposed and improperly-aligned frames are also included here just to show that not everything always comes out right. :-)
