In late Spring of 1998, I made a whirlwind visit to Joshua Tree National Monument in Southern California.

Some barrel cacti on the trail to 49 Palms Oasis. Yellow wildflowers on the same trail. 49 Palms Oasis itself. Yet more flowers. There's a tiny little Joshua tree in the center of the picture. Flowers and Joshua trees along the main park road. A cactus in bloom, on the Cap Rock trail. More flowers, just growing by the roadside.
