Images 6 through 12 are at the Point Reyes lighthouse.  Frame 6 shows some large trees, I think Monterey pines, that have been shaped by the prevailing (and near-constant) wind at the point.   Frames 7 and 8 show colorful lichen growing on rather varied rocks.  The stuff that looks like concrete is actually Point Reyes Conglomerate, a formation found only at the point.  Image 9 is a shot of a rock in the ocean just west of the Point, visible from the steps down to the lighthouse; this rock is often covered with birds (as here) and hence also covered with white stuff (guano).  Image 10 shows the new, automated lighthouse, while #11 shows the original one.  (Sorry about the slightly crooked horizon.  Maybe I should fix that in Photoshop.)  In #12, you can get an idea of the climb back up from the lighthouse: the steps are numbered, and there are 308 of them.
