Kodak E100SW film.
Frames 1 through 20 were taken in the evening of 23 Feb 2003 at Te Anau, with all the bird photos at the Te Anau Wildlife Centre. The birds I have identified so far (updates from Donn) are:
Frames 21 through 36 were shot the next day, 24 Feb. Frames 21 through 25 were at a stop the bus made on the way out, where a Kea was hanging around. The ambient light at this point was very blue, hence the blue color to the slides. You can see why by looking at frame 24: we are down in the dark shadowy area, so all the light is indirect, from the sky.
I color-corrected the best shot of the Kea. The result is here (22a).
Donn suggests that 24 may be a shot of Mt Tutoko, the highest peak in Fiordland National Park.
Frames 26 through 36 are shots from the boat, on Milford Sound itself. I fixed both the the horizon and the colors for the two waterfall shots in frames 29 and 30; the results are in 29a and 30a. Frames 31 and 32 are of seals hanging out. They are easier to spot in the first one, but look for the one standing straight up in the second. Frame 34 is a shot from almost (but not quite) underneath the waterfall in frame 33.
There are more Milford Sound images on the next roll.
